What is the stock axle length from where the hub touches the axle...inner to inner hub so to speak....

What year axle?

Here are the stock measurements for an 86 axle:
29-1/8 without spacers
30-1/4 with spacers

I didn't think they changed lengths through the years but I need a 88-89 stock length....thanks for the measurements though!!!

I don't think they did either. Stock 86 axle has spacers, later models do not.

The measurement with the spacers should be what your after.
