Air Shrouds

I thought it was kinda odd that I havent seen these out there yet...

Anyone running them on there 250 ?
I cant say that Ive seen any .

I was sitting here eating 5 alarm chilli I made and was thinking of ways to keep the 250 cooler. LOL :D

You're looking at the carbon fibre oil cooler scoops under the plastics with mesh grills....... Well I am anyway.

Or are you wanting a replacement nose scoop section on the top, as in this pic?

I was having a hard time seeing it ,but yes... shrouds was what I was looking for not a grill.

Now in this pic I see Exit shocks -me likey !!
My son done R&D for a year and a half with Zbroz and that set up was some of the sickest suspension my son has ever race on when he was on his DRR 90 .
He had as much travel as the Raptor does :eek2: :p lol

we just ordered a fan to install. Cant wait to get it a whirl !
We might have narrowed down an idea or two on a cooler as well , buts its going to come down to fitting ,not much room to work with .but we will work on the fan first .

We were on the last motor not so much on this one -YET.
keeping them cool on these long races in 100 degree temps where they spend as much as 3-4 hours of racing PER weekend ,its crutial to us to find ways to keep the heat down and not have power loss during race . I know of a few others having ahard time keeping there motors cool so we are wanting to experiment a little.

Its very successful on the 400 ex . :)

DId you guys ever get to try this out? Just wondering, were getting our engine built now, and I am wondering about the keeping it cool thing myself.

It wouldn't work with it. So bummed. We did come across a couple radiators though that should .when we get motor rebuilt we will be giving that a shot. Every time we have went to do some kind of research we have had bad luck hit before we could get that far. Lol
Hopingtha next years better. we have ideas and have been so overwhelmed this year with problems we haven't been able to test much .

Ok Thanks, Dee at Rage is doing our engine for us, with what we do, i don't think we will have much of an over-heating problem but cooler is always better.

here are a couple of raptors from where i race with big oil cooler and shrouds
you can see the shrounds but not the oil cooler. hope this helps

SPAL fan is now installed ! Going to test it out tomorrow if all goes well . The intake /airbox /battery blah blah blah isnt going together as well . lol

Have you seen the shrouds from CFM Performance on ebay? I haven't used them, but they look decent and easy.

I did. Didnt like the way they looked and the spal fan was actually a cheaper fix.

In the UK we use these PWR oversize high capacity oil coolers.
They're not cheap, but they work! I think they originate from Australia.
It fits perfectly with no mods and comes complete with top mounting bracket........... Cool!

Thats the one we were going to get and yes... not cheap! We seen another fan as well for around 75.00 that would work also. Looks good!
The spal fan is another cheap and easy insurane... all of it is really after having to pay to rebuild from ground up on a motor. Lol
