He still rides alot without gloves to keep his hands tough. the goggles, well as Ive explained before, many times you all see a pic or two taken here and he wont have them on. If he pulls up and chats they fog up sometimes and he throws them aside and does a few runs for me to snap a few pics etc. Sometimes he puts them back on sometimes not. I usually watch and study him and the quad, then snap pics when they are almost done.

I wish he would always have them on but what can you do. During the races so many rip them off and hopefully pit for another set but so many dont. To me, that extra few seconds for fresh ones far outweigh an injured eye but I cant always make him do what I want especially during a race:p

I would say ive spent several g's on them over the years. Im glad I got him to stop tossing them during the race and sending me back to look for them LOL

No doubt . I'm sure it would get quite costly.

How does he like the KFX? I was looking at one today ... brand new out of the crate . Nice looking machine . One thing that caught my attention when I sat on it , was how much the header pipe seems to stick out . Seems like a burnt calf would be unavoidable.

It runs pretty good.

needs to start faster for the gnnc dead engine starts

needs some vibration control...we are always replacing missing bolts (nothing loc-tite wouldnt cure)

handles well. its light and nimble.

needs 10 more hp

Goggles are definately important in all aspects whether protecting from branches or dust. Several years ago I was riding my dirt bike and a 8ft long stick/limb was laying on the ground with one end sticking up about to my footpegs. The stick cause my front fork and went up into my eye. It instantly knocked me out and I woke up about 20mins later in a puddle, face up thankfully. It took a piece out of the bottom left of my right eye and if it was about 3mm to the right, I would have no sight in my right eye. I was not wearing goggles.

Point is, if I was wearing goggles I probably could have shook it off, instead it took about 2 months till I had vision again in my right eye. Really wish I would have worn goggles that day, things can happen at any moment any time.
