View Full Version : new 08 kfx new 08 trx

I didnt really see a section this would fit in, but I have a chance to buy a left over 08 trx450 for 5,000 and a 08 left over kfx450 for 5,400. I personally have put some seat time on a trx and I am pretty impressed with them. I race xc and really dont see many kfx's out there. I think the honda would be my best bet, what do you guys think.

honda has reliability on its side and seems to have more aftermarket parts

Honda all the way!!!! My brother in-law has the KFX and I really don't even like ridng it. It does not feel comfortable. Plus its fuel injected so you have to put a power commander in it if you pipe it or anything. My brother in-law has had issues with the power commander draining his battery. Just my $.02.

HaHa. I hear ya. This is going to be a big change for me. I have 3 yfz's right now and always have rode yamaha. In my xc races my yamaha has over heated or somthing stupind happens and I see hondas going by while im setting. THAT MAKES ME MAD!! Sounds like I will be converted to ride red today.

Well, the salesman lied to me lol. I cant get the honda for less than 5500. That makes a diffrence for me I have 5G cash to play with and they wont come down like the salesman said. I have another kfx thats used but barley even ridden that I can pick up for 4500. This sucks I was set on the honda, might end up with the kawi now.

Dude, buy used! You can get a built 450r for 5k.

I agree, I have always bought used. It would have been hard to pass up new 450r for 5G like the salesman said. Around here the only used R's that I find are bikes that have been rode hard and not taken care of. The used kawi is a sweet bike, I figure I will end up with it. I still have my bb/stroker yfz to ride balls to the wall haha. Just want somthing thats closer to stock to race XC with.
