Yesterday I decided to buy a Wasr 10 ak-47. I like it and its fun to shoot, but the sights or kinda strange. Does anyone know a good site that has different sights for them? Post pictures of all the guns yall have! I'll try to post a pic soon.

I would say get used to them and get the sights adjusted best you can. The problem with the AK is that the rifle is built to be dropped in the mud and then picked up and still be shootable. So, accuracy suffers. You can get a good sight with a good mount system but an AK is still just a bullet hose basically. They are endless fun though as long as you ain't on the recieving end.

I say go ahead and buy a nice scope.

Then, install a Bushmaster under your new scope, and you'll never look at that AK again.

It hasn't been around for 60+ years because its a pos. You can't destroy them.

However, I'd choose my custom AR over any Ak any day.:p

It's a blast to go out and shoot but expensive. I do plan on getting a ar-15 if I come across a good deal.

AK's are what they are, solid, reliable gun (AR's are too fussy about dirt or carbon) but don't have the accuracy of the AR due to being a loosely toleranced stamp sheet metal rifle, which is also why you can throw it in a mud puddle, pick it up and shoot without jams. Great to have but don't expect the long range accuracy. Personally, for that I would buy a PTR-91, HK G3 clone.

If your just plinking, I'd recommend going with an .22 AR, I picked an upper up at a gun show for 300 bucks and man, what fun! Way cheaper than reloading .223s.:o

i dont have any pics but i have a ruger .22 that is composite black stock, a 270 win feather lite that is cherry stock, a beretta 92fs 9mm and a beretta bobcat .22 that i play with every now and again. I dont use the 270 for anything but deer hunting if i am home to go, and the ruger is just a can gun. the two pistols are just for targets also but they are a blast to shoot. I prefer the 92 to my buddies 40 cal glock for sure. it has alot less jumping around and such. steve
