has any one ever put a apex or other cvt motor in trx 90 chassis just wondering because we have so much money invested in the trx and my son does mot want to shift any help would be great.

Keep the Honda engine and make him shift.He will be a better rider when it's time to go to a big quad.Plus the honda is better.

welli have an apex and a honda on my apex i get the holeshot evertime but when i hit a pretty big jump the trans breaks evry time so i would say stay with the honda

my kid is only 6 we pretty much only ride the quad at the sand dunes at our tracks we can only race our dirt bikes no quads.

Do what u wish. But we've owned an Apex which he HATED and refused to ever ride again and we had over $5400 into it. And it would NEVER finish a race. Then there was the 06 Honda which gets the HECK ran out if it EVERYDAY and has NEVER broke down and I mean NEVER! The Apex is a race only mini,it won't last on everyday rides. You will be working on it everyday,I was.
