I just got my +2 regular travel houser a arms, installed them and ended up not getting the width increase I was hoping. I got a width increase of a +1 a arm. Now I'm thinking that maybe I got shipped +1's by mistake!

Can anyone with +1 or +2 houser regular travel a arms give me a measure from the cross bar by the frame to the end of the a arm where the ball joint screws into the a arm. On the lower a arm please. I need to compare to make sure I got +2's instead of +1's.

Sorry I cant help you with the measurements, but I think you may be right.

The LT +1 I have is +1.375 each arm as per houser.

If you dont get a good reply by the morning call up Jeff Houser and ask him.

I was 44 stock. Now I'm only 46 with stock rims. I should be sitting pretty at 48! I'm worried....nervous...and stressed! I sold my stock set last week and do not have anything to compare to! I thought stock rims were 4/1.5 and with a +3 set up you should be at 50.....+2 48.......I'm at 46!

your estimates seem close. With the LT +1 mine is just over 45"

Sounds like you got +1 arms. With +2 arms on my 400 with stock rims it is just over 48". You should call the place you got them from and get it straighten out.

curious to where you did get them?

Stock 400ex lower a arms are 13 1/2 inches from the pivot point at the frame to the center of the ball joint.

I got them straight from Houser himself. I'm surpised with such a mix up.

Don't feel bad..I ordere my arms staight from houser too..after a 2 month wait,,,he called said they was ready ta ship..go my card number, had em boxed up and was bout to put them on the UPS truck,, everything was hunky dorry,,at the last second before we hung UP i asked what the total was... Come to find out he made me one of the first sets of LT arms he had just rolled out.. So he had to make me up more arms and i had to wait even longer...:( I guess with 10,000 pieces of tubing layin around it probably gets kinda hard to keep up with them..I can measure mine but it won't be until tonight thumper..:(

When in Doubt: Call Jeff/Quadshop

It has to get confusing with all that stuff going on at his Shop.

My LSRs that are +2 are about 15 inches from one bushing part to the part where the ball joint starts to get screwed in.

Maybe that will help. Maybe not.:D

With a rough measurement with them installed on my quad I got the lowers to be around a 14.25-14.50. I called Houser and left them a message. Hopefully they will call back and straighten this out. Since stock is 13.25 I'd say I got the +1's by mistake....darnit!

Jeff if you would, spread some light on this please.

Rico I remeasured from your dimesions and came up with alittle over 12.5. I think i'm okay then. I don't think I took into account the ride height and was measuring from the TOP of my tires.......and I had my camber way in....DUH. I don't have my shocks in yet so I was guessing where it might sit. I think everything is in the clear. What a relief. I hate having mishaps always screws up your schedule.
