I thought id race quads forever then i rode a dirtbike for the first time recently and fell in love. i had a few diffrent 2 stroke bikes all ready and now am on this i sold my race quad and now just have this and my 50. its a 04 crf250 with a bunch of stuff on it.

I payed 2100 bucks and it came with the title, 3 brand new tires, service manual etc.

thats what happened to me. i rode a KX450f and fell in love. bought a 2006 CRF250R and didnt touch my quad for a few months. crank went in the 250 so i'm back on my quads :(

that sucks bro thats the only thing that scares me with these bikes is the motors. i will maintain this one just like any other bike ive had oil changed after every practice / race etc but im gonna ride er till she blows then do a overhaul on it stainless valves etc.

I want to buy a bike. How fast are the 450s compared to the 250 4 strokes and 2 strokes?

i really didnt put much time on the bike. and my valves started acting funny (getting tight, then loose) then one day the crank bearings went. i never even hit the rev limiter on that bike, i changed the oil every 2-3 hours. i think the guy ran it out of oil, and sold it to me before the bearings went. and there was nothing i could do about it, the risk you take on buying used stuff.

not to scare you, i hope you have much better luck. she's beautiful btw

arent hijacking it at all i had a 250 2 stroke before this and i like the crf better better suspension and ergos and i love the feel of a 4 stroke torquey motor compared to a 2 stroke
