so i went for a ride out in the pits and i ended up swamping my 08 z400. i drained out my air box and pulled out the plug and cranked it over, and i changed the oil. then just after going back out again i noticed the over heating light came on. the antifreeze was boiling and it was just a mess. i changed out the antifreeze thinking that maybe i some water got into the overflow. this whole time the fan just wouldn't turn on. and it wont turn on at all. so im thinking i loaded the wiring harness with water. i know it must be electrical, but could you guys just name the part and possibly just tell me the price? thanks. id like to get the fan turning and riding again

03 has a fuse just like the rest of them, p/n 3 in the fiche. http://www.motorsportssuperstore.com/fiche_image_popup.asp?fveh=10114§ion=431915&year=2003&make=SUZUKI&category=ATVs&dc=808&name=ELECTRICAL
Check the fuse first, if that's not it pull the electrical connector on the lower radiator plug and jump the wires in the plug. If the fan comes on you need a new temp switch, about $40.
There's a method to test it in the manual with a multimeter and a pan of hot water.

jerkin thats the solenoid fuse if thats bad then nothing will work...i mean the 04 ups have a separate fuse just for the fan right next to it

no thats what the diagram was that jerkin posted...that fuse was and the picture was for the solenoid which on the 03's was the only fuse....on the 04 and ups like urs they had a fuse for the fan as well as the solenoid fuse..which is what i was talking about
ps solenoid is under the seat

Gotcha, I thought you meant they didn't have any fuse, lol.
