I bought a 2009 DRR 90 for my son who weighs 40 lbs. It had a pretty heavy duty spring on the rear that easily held my 200 lbs. It didn't even budge with him on it. He was getting bounced around pretty good. I called DRR and they sent me a new shock and spring combo for $80 and the spring diameter is half the size of the one I had. My son went for a ride and I could see the shock working. He came back and said it was SOOO MUCH SMOOTHER!. It's nice because it's on the 2nd to softest setting so I can still stiffen it up 3 or 4 more notches for slightly heavier riders and the swap for the heavy duty shock/spring only takes like 5 minutes.
