well i just got my boys ex back together.
we got a je 11:1 piston, stage 2 hc, crf timing chain, new chain tensioner and chain guides.
i ripped off my 04 450r carb and throttle cable. i plugged the hot start hole, taped up the tps wires and tucked them away. i spent 20 minutes getting the fuel line on, 10 minutes getting the carb on the intake and 20 more minutes getting the air box boot on the carb.
the first couple cranks and it was running, then i killed it.
i cut my choke lever with a cut off wheel. but how are you guys using the choke lever when needed? i dont have the fenders on yet, but i did notice if i were to reach up and apply the choke the fuel petcock is in the way, what are you guys doing?
i will break it in tomorrow, recheck all bolts and vavle clearance because they have a tap right now. i plan on dynoing it in the next couple of weeks to get it tuned in.
