Will a 06 and up motor work on a 05 Frame

Im in kind of a rough spot i busted the casings on 05 kicker , and i cant find any bottom ends in my budget, but i can find 06 and up motors that are , my question is will an 06 and up motor fit on my 2005 frame...... oh and i do have the 06 and up motor mounts already

I've heard that you have to modify the frame mounts slightly, as well as the actual motor mounts from an 06+, to make it work. It's been done before though.

i believe when i was looking at what to do when i was getting my rebuilt because i had to put bassicaslly everything new in it. i believe i was told you would need rear swinger/ shock and link, and front mounts from chassis to motor. i was told all bolt holes are same but you need either aftermarket shock with remote rezy, or like i said earlyer in message. this is due to where the starter motor housing is, there is a part where it goes into the motor and it would hit rezy even if kickstart
