After much research and debate, I finally decided on some paddle tires. 21x12x8 6 paddle Skat~Trak Extremes. Didn't realize how difficult these things were to track down. I wanted to buy local since I needed them pretty quick. Takes at least 2-3 weeks to get them directly from Skat~Trak. Fullerton Sand Sports turned out to be the cheapest, and the only ones who had the tires in stock. I got them mounted on Douglas Blue Labels and the total came out to $296 for tires, wheels and shipping. I placed the order Thursday at 1PM and they were sitting on my doorstep 20 hours later, literally. Granted, I am less than 300 miles from them, it's still impressive. Gotta say I was extremely impressed with Dave and Fullerton Sand as far as customer service, pricing and especially shipping. Definitely would recommend them to anyone.

I got the Trekster cascaras which are supposed to be some of the lightest. Tire and wheel weights in at 13lbs.

Can't wait to hit the sand and test them out. Should be a world of a difference compared to my Sand Geckos.

Sounds good. Don't forget to adjust your hubs as needed to line up the paddles even on both sides.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that. They look like they are mounted pretty similar and I made sure my hubs were lined up when I put them on the other week, so I should be alright already.

I had to cancel the order for the steering stem so I could get the paddles. Going on a big dune trip here next week for my birthday and needed them before we left. I'm gonna get the stem next paycheck.

Sorry for the crappy pictures, I had to use my phone. I just mounted them up real quick to see what they looked like. Turns out I'm gonna have to adjust my hubs. The alignment is off just a bit.

What's a good PSI to run? I usually do 3 in the rear and 4 in the front. Wasn't sure if should be running something different for the Extremes or not.

looks awesome man. im thinking about going with the same size you got. where i ride, some the hill climbs are rutted out at the top and i could use just a little more ground clearance. far as air pressure goes, i usually run between 3 and 5. just depends on weather the sand is wet or dry. by the pics they look like they are almost lined up. alot of people where i ride dont even bother with lining the paddles up. with the Padla Brats i heard it was useless to line them up because the tire will actually turn on the rim. i would love to see your face the first time you get on the sand with them Haulers! your gonna be grinning ear to ear! and yeah they throw a pretty mean roost too!

Haha yeah I can't wait, it's gonna be a blast. There's a sand half pipe out a Rasor where we're going next week, gonna tear that thing up!

Took some more picture with an actual camera.

I couldn't stop smiling the whole weekend. Seriously, I did not think they would have made THAT big of a difference, but they did. As soon as I threw them on, I couldn't keep the front end on the ground, no matter what gear I was in. It was stupid how much hook up they have haha. Not only was I flying up hills I was struggling on before, but I was doing it with the front wheels off the ground. I am I firm believe in Skat~Traks now, worth every penny. My dad wants a set now haha.

Thanks. The dune we were hitting wasn't exactly the best for jumping because it was like 20' - 25" tall, but we still went for it haha.

This is where we were at.

Nah, this was Rasor Dunes. Like 10 miles out of Baker. It's a fairly unknown place, only a handful of people will be out there on an off weekend. I found out about it over at 3wheeler.org since they have a trike rally out there every year. This was only our second time out, but it's an awesome place. A lot of interesting things to see.

Hey bkelley how was rasor dunes? My wife and I are thinking about taking the toyhauler out on may 1st for 3 or 4 days but we have never been there before. It looks like the dunes are way down a dirt road from the 15, will a 26 ft toyhauler make it back there ok? I guess if we dont like it we can just go to dumont.

Yeah you'll make it out there with no problems. We hauled a 30' travel trailer out there. It's a pretty decent road, just has a lot of whoops. We even managed to get some sedans out to the spot we were staying at. I PM'd you with some more details.
