ive been thinking about selling the bike and quad and buying a nice 400. what to you guys think. and whats some things to check out when im goin to look at one?

A 400ex is always a great choice. And as long as it doesn't smoke or have any funny noise from the engine and it shifts through all the gears fine then you are probably going to be ok. It's pretty tough to hurt one of these bikes. This is just my opinion but I would try to find one as close to stock bore as you can that way if something were to go wrong you still have the option of punching the jug out and still being fine. If you go buying a 426 or 440 and something goes wrong chances are you are screwed and have to get a new jug or a resleeve. Just my words of wisdom (or lack of) though.

i figured one would most likely be just as tough as my 300. and i was going for a close to stock bike, so i can make it my own. sounds like the hunt is on.
