And this is my can-am:http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/1394/p1011058.th.jpg (http://img186.imageshack.us/i/p1011058.jpg/)

I want to advise me on what to ask the quad to make it better, I have also planned to change the brake master cylinder and wanted to cut the plastic. You think?

greetings. thanks.

Yeah cut the front fenders a little about at your outer crease lines for mx so you can see the ground better, why would you want to replace the master cylinder? If you tell us what motor modifications you have we may be able to advice you better, now getting parts to Spain that’s another story I know nothing about…..ha!

Good to see you out here, welcome to the site lots of good info.

Nice pics! Love Madrid :D

Do you know how to access the race fuel map by cutting the pink wire? Yes I beleive you can go to Honda rear brakes but you got get a new HON master cylinder.

But, I have not cut the pink wire, it does? I have it set completely I have not changed anything to the engine, nor have I changed anything. Only I put the fat boy 4 (not full) and has a-arms, shocks, axle, handle (flexx) and cross tires. The air filter and clutch are from, but the clutch I have the new model.

For your attention thank you very much.

O, ok well thats where we definitely need to start. Do you know where the pink wire is? You should cut it and see how it acts in Spain with your atomosphere and Fat boy, it will gain you some good power like 4-6 hp some say. Try that and if does not run better which I am sure it will you can reconnect it.....The purpose of it is when you add a better more open pipe you don't run lean, but that varies depending on your altitude.......all your air sensors will compensate to some degree for altitude and air mods....The old stock pipe was very restrictive, the new pipes allow more air and can cause lean conditions, so this race MAP delivers more fuel and as you do more mods to add more air you will need more and more fuel. So try it.

Several compainies make air-intakes like BCS, Moto Works, Rossier check them out.....They make bigger K&N filters and intake air ducts that get more air volume to your engine. We have FCI custom which is the best imo....

I'd say start there if you run pump gas you should be alot better with the stock race map pink cut........next you might try a CP 13.6 piston if you have access to race gas....We use E-85 if you can get it...Porting and shaping the intake port is another one and expensive cams, but now you will need a Power Commander fully programmable fuel controller and a dyno tune..The Power commander will then control your fuel injector.

Any other questions just ask.

O, and we seen ALOT of stock clutch baskets break and metal gets in motor you should get a new one from BCS or Hinson asap and there is a 2009-9 BRP service bulliten update.

Terry :D

okey, I will do this changes, slowly, and I will tell you the changes; the clutch is the modifiqued by can-am, it doesn't give me problems. The next week, I will prove cut the pink wire and cut the plastics and the front brake master cylinder. On the other hand, I can get almost any parts, often buy parts in USA.

And do you think of putting a fmf megabombs collector? win torque at low revs?

Thank you for everything

The mega bomb awesome pipe in my book, for this quad back in early 08 was the pro-choice pipe mainly because it delivered little hp loss at 94-96 db.....that will become more of issue here in the states for amature 2011 AMA quad classes, but as for now there are better pipes.....I'd venture to say Moto Works has spent the most time on this quad, not to say others like we own Rossier, HMF, Ron Woods, etc are not just as good depending on your mods and specific quad and conditions. Any will do depending on your needs/quad/rules.....

Try the pink get a new filter/intake if you got the money to go further let me know.....When you cut the pink and before it be a good idea to pull your plugs and look at them to read your motor, tan is normal, charcol/wet/black fouled, grey/white lean.

You will be happy with cutting the pink wire.

make shure you check all bolts are not loose. the ones on the rear sproket and under the frame skid plate.. did you cut the holes in the tank area and engine ice for cooling.

the quad is completely revised, I'm changing the bearings. As it is ready I cut the cable and I bought a filter and as I say ... riders thank you very much! in Spain there are almost no ds450, abound here ktm and suzuki. The can-am is amazing and it is a lot of people who love him, but is very expensive.

greetings

Florentino’s correct I forgot to mention you should cut some 50.8mm (2 “) holes in plastic common to fuel tank as shown below. Run engine ICE....Also put lots of “Heat Reflective Tape” BRP sells or some auto stores common to the engine on the fuel and coolant recovery tanks. CV4 makes a “boot” for the fuel tank shown below. Reason is under high heat the fuel can boil since it is pressurized to over 10 kPa (50 psi)…I seen this happen to a guy this week.

well... I cut the pink wire, and the quad is going well, fabulous! now want to look at the issue of air filter that you recommend me to put? in the category in which I run, we have to take the lid of the air filter box set (stupid rule). I remind you that I have the standard exhaust manifold and the final exhaust a fat boy 4.

thanks.

Ok, thats good! Lid off is good too! I'm not that familuar w/the FAT BOY.......looking at it on-line looks ok and the stock header on the DS is not that bad.....

I'd give Warnert Racing a call http://www.warnertracing.com/

Ask them if they have a used Racing Intake (metal) and over sized K& N filter......They have alot of used race parts so you may get it cheap. If you can replace the stock filter and rubber intake that should buy you a few more HPs.

Let me know if that don't work there are other options.
