I have 2002 400ex that has a Lexx pipe on it and I rebuilt the carb on it bc the float was bad. So I left the jets that came with the pipe in there and I put it back togethor and it is really hard to start now. I tried tunning the adjustment next to the choke but it is still hard to start. When it finally does start it just dies. i cant figure out what the problem is, did i miss something.

i would take it apart and clean ot the jets and make sure everything is functioning properly.

It depends on what you are turning also. If you are turning part #11 in the picture below that is the idle adjustment and I woudln't think that would help with starting. Turning part #6 out will allow more fuel in the pilot circuit and could help starting, but if it was starting before I would think maybe it just needs to be cleaned again. You can also go up to a 40 or 42 pilot for better starting.
