a buddy of mine has a ktm 380sx that he is trying to get me to get the motor out of. i know that it makes BIG power, and has over a grand in side of it. (kick start assembly, bearings and such.) i work at a fab shop so getting the motor in really wouldnt be that big of an issue. i was just wondering if anyone had heard of putting a KTM motor in a 400 frame?? thanks, brewer

ive been to sugar creek a few times and getwell, i have ridin at covington pike before on our 4x4 and thought it was a very sketchy place to ride. i usually ride at my house or go to the tracks, lone lake, hidden valley, lawman, and a few others. also like to go to land between lake, and if i have the money i love going out to little sahara.

i'd say the main issues will be fabbing up some kind of radiator (450r maybe?), getting the chain/sprockets lined up correctly, and probably the most important (and most tricky) will be getting an exhaust to work with the motor/frame. I'd recommend looking for a big bore 250r exhaust to use on it.

yea the 250r exahaust i think will probably work..i just have to cut a inch out of it and weld it back, for rad and bar clearance. i read that on the 250r 400ex hybrid

that is my hybrid you are refering to. the KTM probably has a bigger exhaust port.
