Wrong size Handlebars??? tight fit

Just wondering if I got the right size handlebars? They are Tag X5's 7/8 bars. Everything fits, my brake reservoir sits a little crooked but works and feels fine.

My concern is, soon I would like to purchase the PowerMadd hand guards, and wondering if I will have a place to mount them. I believe the right side will be fine, as you just remove the "tab" between throttle and brake res., but im worried about the left side.

My grip space I left for girps is 5" on both sides.

If anybody has a pic of their PowerMadd guards mount up close, that would be greatly appreciated

My T2's are the same way, the controls sit identical to yours. I put them at the same location as the was on the stock bars.. Hope somebody does post up, I am kinda curious myself about the guards..

How wide is your grips? Maybe 5" too? Thats what I measured my old Tag grips to be.

If nobody posts up pic's of the PowerMadd guards, I might make another thread. This is my only concern, is the mount placement, as far feel they feel great, and look good too.

From what I have read the powermadds come with a few different mounting options with some adjustability built in so you can mount them at weird angles if you have too.

I wonder if they would mount on the "bend" part of the bars? If so, I wouldn't have a problem

Yep sure are. Sorry if the pics are blurry they are from me cell. Also these bars are about the same width as stock, just the way the rise is, is diff from the straight up then out rise the stock bars have

My bars, if I measure from grip end, to grip end, straight across (not going with the bend) measures about 30".

If your at it, what does urs measure??

Make sure its from end to end, neverminding the bend. straight across

Mine are 31 end to end

Nope you will be fine, as long as it is topped off, is bled of air :)

get rid of your starter/light switch and u will be fine makes plenty of room and u can get a kill switch. your choose just an option.
