ya i like it nice dodge!
MidnightBlade
03-30-2010, 04:12 PM
thanks its a 96 2500. i didnt commit to buying it yet because i dont know if it is standard or automatic. the dodge automatics wear out quick around 150,000 or so, the standard last longer than the motor, more the 300,000.

I was thinking of the Trailmaster 5 inch lift... anything difficult about that Fabtech one? Extend any brake lines, steering, anything?
tsaun987
04-04-2010, 10:02 PM
Oh, and I also had to cut the tie rods down per fabtech specs. This pic was obviously taken before that;)
tsaun987
04-04-2010, 10:05 PM
No nothing other than having to cut the tie rods down just a tad.
I've never heard anything bad about trailmaster, but most everyone over at f150online.com prefer the fabtech kits for our trucks.
Your ride would look sick with a 6" fabtech under it. There's a guy with a expo like yours with one on it over there...

Well personally I have towed for a living and used all my trucks as work trucks. A 1/2 ton truck properly setup will out tow a 3/4 ton in some cases.
Specially something like an old F150 with the inline 6 and HD package vs a V8 F250 HD.

Here's my odd creation:
2004 LS Suburban
2WD!
37" BFG Mud Terrains
RCD 6 in lift
2 " body lift
4.88 Yukon Ring/Pinion rear end
Tows real good now with the gearing change I recently had done. Without towing, I'm pulling down 16mpg consistently.
I've also added some black steps (1 per door) since this picture.
Paid 10k flat for this truck just the way you see it in this picture 2 years ago with 23k miles on it and a salvaged title. Wish it was 4wd, but, I haven't needed it yet.
