View Full Version : anyone restore their 250r to original oem here?

here is a pic of mine......i'm considering poweder coating everything to original oem colors? or should i leave it alone?

The original paint is high quality. Unless it's beat up with scratches in visible areas I'd touch it up and wax it. Most of the frame isn't very visible or doesn't get scratched through normal use (e.g. between the a-arms).

no they are not oem.

pick up an oem pipe and the rest of the stuff you need to take it back to 100%.. if you plan on keeping it a long time, you will get alot more for it, when you have everything.

Good luck. Are you planning on riding it when it's done? If so, then I would leave it like it is. I have far too many hours and dollars in mine to ever even consider starting it...........or riding it.

i don't plan on riding it....i will buy a 4x4 quad for riding.
just plan on staring at this one......do you have any pics of yours finished???

This is exactly what i plan on doing with mine. If you have any other pics, paint codes can you email them to me? Do you have any corner view pics from frt and back?

I'm just trying to decide if i should repaint frame powdercoated or 2 stage ?? Regular car paint.
