Anybody running the 41mm fcr carb from a 450er?I have one on mine and its not quite dialed in completely but its getting there. What are you guys running for a needle?I took the stock non adjustable needle out of it and im using the needle that i had in my 37mm fcr when it was on...but its on the last notch, rich as it will get with out using washers.I dont like running this,i like room for adjustments. Is there a needle you guys are running from like a yfz450 or something.By the way im at a 52pilot and 158 main, way off from when i had the 37mm fcr from a 250f.No airbox custom boot from a lt500 quadzilla.

i started with a 165 to see if i was in the ball park, rich at wot, black smoke was obvious,i found another needle in my stash im playing with,i got it to run pretty good but im not finalized on my settings yet,ill index these current settings so when i get it to run like crap again i can come back to these ones at least:D

i know,i started with a 45 and got too much popping so i figured it was lean on decel, fuel screw wouldnt cure it,im at a 48 now, took the 52 out i didnt like using the 52,just seemed too big compared to what everybody else was using, heck even stock 450rs use a 45 i think. My thing is im always changin stuff, cant leave anything alone so my jetting is always changing.Always looking for performance:D

Hehe..nah i checked that with another fcr just to be sure, right now it runs pretty good.Im still going to play with the ap circuit, the 450er carbs dont have the adjusatable ap like the earlier fcr carbs so no BK mod for this.I read somewhere where you have your leak jet blocked off for maximum squirt..please explain:) I have a slight bog off idle when i hit full throttle from idle but its not really prevalent with real world riding. These fcrs can b a pain to tune but i love them:D

tieing the AP helps

cant do that on the 450er version of the fcr,its almost like to cut cost they made them cheaper from the earlier versions:confused:
