I'm working on a fourwheeler for a guy and looking for opinions on what you think is wrong with it.

He said the tranmission is slipping. I rode it for about 20 min the other day after letting it warm up some. It seemed to run good and shift good both in auto and eletric shift. After it got hot, you can get on the gas and feel the clutch slipping and chattering.
I think its the centerifual clutch by the converter doing this.

Anyone else heard or seen this problem? What all did you need to fix it?

the centrifugal clutches are known to go bad on these.

If he is running synthetic oil it could be causeing the problem also.

I ran it in my foreman and it was so slick it made it slip.

Just a thought. Also is it shifting rough or slipping in and out of gear?
