what do u guys think will ltr450 front shocks works with +2 a arms on a 400ex i know theyre supposed to be too long on stock arms but +2s should be good right?

the shocks are too long i think..when you go wider on the a arms it doesnt change the shock mount location..i dont think it would work..

you could try lt if they are long enough. I am not sure how long they have to be though, i think right around 18.5" for lt but dont quote that lol. I cant remember off hand what they are. i believe that there is a thread around with the eye-eye lengths of each stock shock, this would be a starting point if indeed they are long enough to work for lt arms. just an idea though, steve

Yes it's been done. I saw a 400ex on eBay a while back and it had LTR shocks. I don't know how it was done if he had long travel a arms or what. But it has been done. The front end did seem to sit really high though. I don't know why either.

When I was looking into shock possibilities, the ltr's are something like 2 inches longer if I remember right, so unless the mounting points are significantly further out on the arms they won't work too well.
