well im ready to put my boys quad back together and noticed some grooving/ galling where the cam rides on the head. i would say there was an oiling issue. i got a new cam for it but im a little worried about new damage.

is this an issue with the 400?

I wouldnt know it is an issue, and it could have been caused by a low oil level or overheating(what i have been told). You can fix it if it isnt too bad, i fixed one not too long ago on a LTZ head. get some 1000 grit sand paper and rub work it with some kind of oil in the journal in a circular motion ( as in the way the cam spins). After using the 1000, do the same with some 1500 or 2000 grit. Be sure you to not do this too much as you will lose tolerence. Hope this helps.
