The guy is really knowledgeable about electrical systems. I think I saw a video once where he had a TRX system making this huge spark... He used to go by TeamGeek6 I believe on macdizzy back in the day.

can you get more info? i am looking for ways to get a better spark without spending $400 for a cr ignition and the difficulty of setting it up.

this $100 is what a new coil costs.

difficulty of setting it up? 400 bucks? Its pretty much bolt on, with only ONE spot you have to mod. Plus, i found my complete ignition on ebay for 120, and my ignition adaptor was 80 from esr... haha.

maybe i am misinformed. i see the price on ESR's website for like $475 including adaptor.

i havent seen one one ebay either. it is a 2001 cr ignition correct?

also, i seen guys selling theirs on here for like $300+

yes mine is a 01 cr ignitnion. Its not easy to find them on ebay though, you cant type in "honda trx 250r cr ignition", you have to type in CR 250 ignition, and look though the 100 pages of stuff.

The '00 setup works well too, same digital ignition as the '01 with a little different curve. Adding the cr ignition to my R made a nice improvement, I like how much quicker it revs.

so, you are saying this is legit? if so its worth $100. one of these so called, "super coils" are around $100.

if this is infact the same guy it is..... i had wanted to send him my ignition system a while back but never got around to it tho.

im definitly leaning toward doing this. i have my harness simplified in a neat fashion with only the teather kill switch hooked up. all is done with proper fittings. so he should have a nice set-up to service.

it must be a trade secret if he is being so vague in the modification description.
