stiff clutch

my 03 has always had a relatively stiff clutch (compared to brand new bikes), however lately it's become increasingly stiff, to the point where i can't really ride it. Do clutches get stiffer as they wear out?

I don't think its the cable cause it seems to move freely with within the little limit of little freeplay. Any ideas?

If the cable has never been replaced I would get a new one and lube it well before you install it. You will be very surprised with the difference. Most of the time it's the cable.

take apart your clutch and there is a push rod. it could be bent, if it is either staighten it or get a new one
