i think you can only do the gren wire upgrade on the 06 not to sure. try a 160 main jet and a 40 or 45 piolit jet and work from there. your best way to up grade the motor is to get HRC kit. it has a diff needle that helps alot. you will see a huge power gain.

thanks will start there with the jetting.where is the fuel mixture screw located at? should i run 100 octane gas or stay with 93 octane? Also thinking of changing the gearing to 14 front 37 back stock is 13/38.I did some research when i noticed the suzuki 450 was pulling away on top end could out run him to about the 350 foot mark the he would pull me by 2 bikes. Both bikes all stock and same year.Just trying to get some ideas.

your 14/37 would have more top end than the 13/38 rejet the carb like he said should give you more power to pull the 14/37

bought some jets and put them in and did the green wire upgrade and it is like riding a diffrent bike. going to mess with the jets a little more .I odered a front sprocket and the package said it fits a 400ex willthis sprocket work dont wont to mess up a $6,000 machine. anybody know the compression ratio of an 08 450 and is 100 octane gas wasting my money or should i stay with 93 octane gas?

you dont need anything over 93 unless your over 12.5 to one stock on an 08 is 12 to one

compression ratio is 12:1 you should be ok running 93 octane i run vp racing fuel yea it costs more but i look at it as cheap insureance i also bumped my compression ratio upto 14:1 this year so now i have to
