I've been having cam chain problems, it keeps skipping. I replaced the tensioner and it ran great for a couple hours and then skipped again so i figure it must be a streached chain. So my question is what do i have to do to remove the chain and install a new one. how far do i have to tear the motor down?

Just have to pull the right side case cover off and the valve cover on top of head. Pretty easy job.

cool thanks thats what i thought but i wanted to double check.

I'm pretty sure you have to pull the clutch off and oil pump off. I used my makita battery powered impact drill to get clutch nut on/off. I install a heavy duty DID chain. The quads been running great. I beat the snot out of my quad.

Ya you are right about removing the clutch and oil pump.
