Spring in the spark plug boot? Help

This one might be hard to explain...

I checked my manual but I could find anything

Is their a spring after the screw in clip on the spark plug boot? 450 Won't start and I found a spring next to the spark plug. The clip that goes on the spark plug was on the spark plug, it took me a few minutes to figure out that the clip gets screwed in on the boot... so does the spring go above the clip that screws in the boot?

Should have a spring, resistor, then the plug clip!

I will call Honda today. I guess I will have to get a new boot... Thanks for the information. I hope this does the trick...
