cannondale 440 glamis NOISEY ???.......

so are these things really STUPID NOISEY or does my customer have a faulty atv ?? i seen the vid on YOUTUBE ..... is this normal for cannondale engines ?????

Hahaha yep that is the normal sound. Its very distinctive and its caused by the straight cut gears in the engine.
I don't know the truth in it but I was told a long time ago when these engines were being made that the design engineers told the head guy in charge that they could cut the noise down some. He refused and indicated that he wanted his motors to sound different than the competition.
Although I will say that when your riding it and the rpms turn up you no longer hear noise. You hear horsepower.
