Pro's:
Its a HONDA:devil
They have good power
They are way better than a little 250x:D
They are 4 stroke which means no mixing gas
Many aftermarket parts available
Cheaper nowadays since the new expensive 4strokes came out

Con's:
No reverse
other than that nothing :devil

they are very reliable... infact i know of a 400ex thats a 1999 with the oil in it that came from the factory... never changed the oil yet and its still running strong...

i've only seen one 400 come apart and it was bc they put the oil filter in backwards...

The starters seem to go on them, several of guys I know have replaced theirs a couple of times. Plus they don't handle near as good as honda's. How cheap you can get a used 400 for now you might as well get it before you get a warrior.

i have yet to have 1 problem with my warrior always starts right up, and never seemed to do anything wrong than being slower than the 250rs n cannondales n some 400ex's i ride with, but i can keep up with most of them as its the rider mostly, my warriors for sale infact i like it a lot but its time for a race quad for me

the warrior should be more compared to a 300ex than a 400ex. The 400 will kill it in a drag race and the 300 might loose by just a lil. but take them into the woods and the honda should run laps around the warrior. Thats unless you take into account my freinds thoughts on warriors." they have to much power thats why they handel bad if your on the gas the front end is off the ground" lol he things the thing has to much power. BUt id say try to stay with a honda.

make sure that you check the axle carrier for sloppiness. it is a very weak metal and is easily damaged.
also check axle, shocks, a-arms\bushings..etc..
