much better airflow with the boot and the boot uses a larger filter, when people do this mod they say they can actually feel the difference

It is definitely worth the mod. I just did it and is alot better then the stock set-up. I did mine a little different than most. i bought the air boot and 400EX air box (no lid), a Mikuni 150 main jet, 400Ex Uni air filter, and a pvc 90 from Advanced Auto Parts (its the help me brand) here is a link for that part(http://suzuki.theatvchannel.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=61732&mode=threaded&pid=524800). This guy has alot of good info. You get a better seal with the air boot and air box from a 400ex. I had to trim the air box to fit, but still is better than stock. I recommend getting an exhuast system, or take off the spark arrestor and drill another hole inside the muffler(cheaper). I will try to get some pics up later.
