It doesnt ever go bad unless it gets contaminated with something and in a sealed container that cant happen.

Combined them and be done with it lol

Dont mix brands, but don't be scared to mix old oil together.

It's been in the ground for 10 million years...should be good for another month or two.

just dont mix synthetic with non synthetic b/c it will burn up your clutch.

I have mixed weights of oils and had oils that have been opened and mixed brands... I mix weights on purpose sometimes b/c I want a certain viscosity... depending on the temp outside

Care to elaborate on the physics of this. Doesn't make much sense to me ....

lol I dont know the physics of it, I have smoked a few clutch plates up in just a few hrs of operation that were presoaked in regular oil and I used synthetic oil...

It's called embedding. It's computer coding.

as far as the whole clutch debate goes, it will effect the clutch.
our ds650 had a sticky float bowl and it drained the whole gas tank into the motor when it was sitting this winter. we drained what we thought was all of it, but after we put new oil in, and rode it, the clutch was slipping really bad for a couple days. if its not made for a certain type of oil, the wrong stuff wont lubricate it completely causing unwanted friction which could eat some plates up.
