how do i know how to judge my pilot jet size? (is it rich or lean)
is there an advantage to a round slide carb versus a D-slide? or no difference.
help will be appreciated

The D slide is a better carb, I have never had to change needle size just adjust by raising and lowering the clip on the needle. The Pilot jet is for starting, Idle and about the first 1/8th of throttle.

i didn't realize the needle had much to do with anything, is it more like a fine adjustment once you get the main jet right?
thanks guys, very helpful

nope, it is alot more than that. It is most of your mid range power.
