Just got the new engine cases to build Deric's new 90cc engine with! They really look nice when new! Any suggestions on keeping them looking nice? Clear coat engine paint? Powder coat?

Also, What does everyone suggest to do as far as porting/jug to case matching etc???

Should i remove some of the sharp radius off of the cases where now it is just a flat shelf just under the transfer ports?

Should I enlarge the oil feed holes to the crank bearings?

Thanks,

Dan

I powder coated my cases and they turned out great and were easy to clean.

Powdercoat with teflon coating, it will last longest

Nice. Yeah just like that, except mine is just a lil stock air cooled 50.... haha
I get the clutch covers done too.

Dam bling is addictive LOL

Ryki3r,

Is that the new Stage 6 reverse intake? have you run that set up before??? How well does it work with the carb at that angle??? Just wondering if the float bowl should be more level???

Looks awesome though!!

This engine is now on a scooter. They sit more of an angle than the Drr's

Okey, that makes sense then. Only asking as I have thought about trying that set up on a mini quad.

Anyone know where to buy, or who does the "Thermal dispersant" type coatings?

it gets in the way of the front motor mount.
you might try and use the lower mounts and raise the front of the engine.

WOW Ryki3r! That looks awesome!
As far as the reverse carb, It will work BUT you'll need a different filter. You'll need one that is not as long so it fits under the drr gas tank. Great for keeping the carb out of the mud and water. As far as the upper motor mount. Just use two large diameter bolts instead of the long bolt.
