just a thought but you could possibly use a hot start lever. I am not sure how far it pulls a lever. another option is to get the setup on the new 300ex which is a switch i think or possible a lever like on the 250s. I havent actually checked out the levers on the new ones. you could also make it so all you have to do is pull the lever on the side by having the lever that the cable pulls always up. Heres a link to the mod. I would not use chain though and make it look a bit better using a cable that was fit to it and crimped with the correct aluminum parts.

went and looked and seen if the cable and switch would work, it look like it would but im wondering how would u use it, pull in the twist the switch while pullin in the clutch then pull up on the lever?

not sure on that, it would probably be easiest to either hook it like shown in the article or make a switch on the left bar such as the hotstart to be able to use the clutch though. lol. it could present a problem if you have both hands pulling levers. lol. you could also use your shoe to pull the lever up on the side while holding the clutch with your left hand, and pulling the lever for the reverse with your right hand lol. steve

this is what i was talking about with the hotstart but it may not pull far enough to get it to kick in.

?? You are contradicting yourself in that one. i think it would work, you could probably mod it a bit so that it will pull far enough by notching it out or something. steve

The little lever I put works just fine. It's easy to do too.

Oh my bad.

What if he got 2 clutch levers and mounts and put one further down the bar for the reverse?
