Why would you buy it if you could get it free? Doesn’t sound like you are dealing with a full deck their " Striker49 " I bet you are one of those people that would buy sand in a desert.

Maybe people don't download games off the internet because all we can get is dial up and we don't have the speed or consistent connection to download something that big. I know that is the case for me and out in the sticks we don't have any fancy DSL or cable. No flame, but just because someone can't download a huge file doesn't mean they are an idiot.

$50

Awesome game, had it since the release date on the 14th of this month. Very addicting. Although there are some bugs, the Houston 2000 tileset seems to be abscent from the game. :huh Maxis is working on a patch though.

I highly recommend you have a good machine. Dont buy it if you have anything under 256 megs of ram, a 1 ghz machine, and a shibby video card. The game is laggin my 1.6ghz, 256 ddr, GeForce MX 200 system quite a bit.

Otherwise the game is astonishing. Detailed right down to the very sims in each city which you can watch commit crimes, travel to and from work, put out fires, chill at the beach, etc etc...

Awesome game. Just need a super computer to get its maximum potential. :D
