Ebay Spacers Suck!!!

i built me a little rythm section, and went up and landed on my back right wheel! the freakin hub studs broke, and because my hubs are welded, my whole axle is JUNK!!! F**K this $H*T!!!

[SET THE STAGE]

1. spacers are an awful idea. there's a reason legit a-arms, shocks, and axles cost so much.

2. why would you weld your hub to the axle? did you ever plan to take them apart? you have to remove the hubs to take the axle off.

the guy before me did it. he stripped the hubs and just welded them instead of buying a new axle

First off as said before you get what you pay for.

If the hubs are not damaged then drill the bolts our or use an easy out.

Not to big of deal.


But I would make plans on buying a new axle,hubs etc.

How do you plan or replacing axle bearings with welded hubs?

I don't understand why people weld hubs. I have stripped many out and just put them on with loctite. It works great.


If you just broke the stud then just drive it out and put a new one in. You can buy them at any auto parts store.

well, as you said, i would plan on a new axle and i think thats the pathc im takin. the guy before me was not to sharp, so even if i do just re stud it, i still cant change gearing or bearings, i will have to cut the axle
