A buddy of mine bought an 06 from another friend anyways the bike has been backfiring and skippin. buddy replaced piston, valves and timing chain still skips heres a vid to explain more

Are all of your cam bolts tite for the intake cam? From looking at the vid I see at least one loose. If those bolts are torqued down when your lobes run across the cam caps it'll make that cam chain skip like that.

The cam chain tensioner is not installed. Install it and then see if it skips. More than likely without the tensioner installed and tensioned the chain will skip
