Clutch Basket

I've finally gotten around to pulling the clutch apart and figure out why it doesn't engage. I believe it is because the outer clutch housing has wear groves where the clutch plates make contact, not allowing them to move. So I am wondering if a ‘87/‘88 clutch assembly will fit right in to a ‘92, I have another engine that has a junk cylinder but good clutch.

Thanks for the help. I switched out the worn basket and my clutch is working again.
