hey guys i have rebuilt an old 230 quadsport with a 10.25:1 wiseco piston and put a cobra exhaust on it cause the muffler was missing all together. the stock jets are 20 pilot and 112.5 main. i put in a 22.5 pilot and 130 main. and i can't tell if its too rich or not. it sputters in the higher gears before it gets high in the rpms. this is my first 4 stroke to try and tune. do i read the plug just like on a 2 stroke? the porcelin part of the plug is still fairly light colored.. any help would be greatly appreciated!

typically when you tune the carb on the 4 stokes you would ride it and when you get up to speed if you feel a "flat spot" or a sputter you would go down a size until it eliminates the problem and that would be your ideal tune.
