Hey all,
So I went and bought a 700xx last year...

A couple of us on the 700xx forum were thinking about some type of mudflap and someone suggested a ds650 front fender.

That said, how do these mount to your front wheels? A-arm? Any special mounting that is hinged etc?

I would love to pic up an old set and muck around to see what I could fab up.

Thanks for any info..

they mount to the spindle / hub. which is nice because they turn with the wheel. i welded a bracket to use some on 250r hubs. it was a pain. i used longer bolts on the caliper , to mount mine.

So I would have to create a bracket on top of the spindle, or do I remove the hub and mount with the spindle, then longer bolt?

i used 2 washers, welded a 3/4 " piece of tubing to it. (i used longer bolts just to be safe) ran the brake bolts through it then welded some square tubing to it runing up to the top of the spindle . and mounted the ds bracket to it. on yours you might be able to find a spot to mount the ds bracket to. 250r spindles are small.
