I recently bought a 86 250r and was told it was a long rod engine. When I took it apart there is no spacer plate which leads me to believe it is not a long rod crank. the rod says pro series on one side and 2204/0501 on the other. The piston has 2613f and 8004 on it. It is a big bore cylinder at 72.50 mm. Is this a 87/89
piston with a long rod crank or possibly it never had a long rod installed? The reason I am asking is the crank needs to be rebuilt and can i just go with a short rod to rebuild it. The cylinder is a 86 cylinder and i have a 73mm piston coming from la sleeve for a 86. Pretty much the whole motor is getting rebuilt. but that is another story in itself. Got to love honest people selling things.
Thank you for any help
