Anyone ever replace the upper steering stem bushing on a 2006 Outlaw. looking for an aftermarket that wont wear out so quick.

You can use energy suspension bushings. I just did mine about 2 weeks ago. I'll send you a pm

Many have complained of the energy bushing being TOO tight. They are cheap though, if you want to try.

The energy suspension bushings are extremely tight if you use the bracket that comes with them. If you use the stock bracket and only put the shim 1/4" shim behind the bushing it is not tight. It is actually easier to turn than by buddies is stock. I guess it is always possible for others to get different results though.

You can get the energy suspension bushing at autozone....21.00. the grease zerk is in the wrong spot tho. I ended have to remove it because the tank didn't fit. I greased it real good, I'll have to remove tank now to grease it. Polarisriders.com had a good explanation of how to do this job. just go to the How to page.

anybody got a part number for this bushing? mine on my 07 pred is pretty loose. and tips on how to replace it?

I just put a thin piece of plastic inside the clamp to take up the slack. it was free. we'll see how long that lasts...
