Can you switch an electric start motor over to kickstart to make it work on a 2005 frame?

you can make it kickstart no problem, but you need 04/05 motor mounts to get it to fit in an 05 frame, and there might be a few other minor differences

No, they are completely different.

ok i was just wondering because the casings on my 05' are busted and for what a new set will cost i can about buy i whole new motor and cant find any used casings, just tryin to decide to put a newer engine on it or cough up the cash and get my old engine fixed
