450r hood on ex 03

ok got a quick question, i got a 450r carbon fiber hood from ebay, could someone tell me what all i need to do to make it fit? i see now that i have to do way more than cutting the dashboard..

I've heard that the 250r hoods work better on the 400ex's then the 450r hoods... just what I've heard
