01' 400ex, question about electronic clutch perch

I was thinking about getting an aftermarket clutch perch and lever, but I noticed the the stock one has an electrical type box with a wire coming out of it. I would believe it is for my electric start to let it engage only when the clutch is pulled.So my question is, what do I do with that wire when I get an aftermarket clutch/perch?? thanks

just connect the two wires together is what i did

so that whole black box thing behind the perch is not needed?? Just solder the two wires together?

yes if you connect those wires it will start just fine, but it will also start in gear now
