Anyone ever did or seen a 400ex with a 250 or 300 KTM two stroke in it? Been wanting to do something a little bit different. My buddy has a KTM 300 two stroke and i love the power. It is almost like riding a 4 stroke. You can even lug it around like a 4 stroke. I did a search and really did not see any.

sounds like a good build to me. the 300 motor would be smooth and fast!

i have also pondered this. those motors are expensive and not counterbalanced. i just did one with a trx250r motor.

How big of a deal would the no counter balancer be?
Brewster, what are you going to do with that 380 if you get it?

i think it was ct racing who put a ktm 250 in a ktm 450 or 525 chassis i cant rem, but it was in dirtwheels or one of the magazines

putting it in my 400..its a pretty nasty motor, it has boyesen precision porting on the side of it and rips in the knarlyest way. im just worried about how its gonna run on the mx track..i would really like to get into that more..i just bought some beadlocks and +2 a arms, so i hope it all works out.
