ok so im just curious how needy is the 400ex on upgrading the valves when using a big bore with a hot cam? i have been running it for about 3 years with stock valves and never adjusted them if this something i should do? should i upgrade while i have it apart or just check over the stock valves?

i don't babby it, when i ride it its usually hittin rev limiter. its the girlfriends bike so she don't rev it too much. what should i do valve wise springs and valves or what? rockers ? is there a whole kit out there some place or do i gotta buy the valves seperate?

make sure the cam chain tensioner is good before putting valves in it or you will end up like me.....put 4 brand new kibblewhite valves in the head...started it up riding it around tryin to get the rings to seat and boom. jumps time and piston smacked both exhaust valves....now i have two bent kibblewhite exhaust valves as souveniers in my room
