What are some decent handlebars for a 400ex? I dont really like the real big ones that looks/feels like a chopper. But I dont really want them too low b/c I am about 235lbs and about 5'10. I do mostly trail riding. I would like some under $80 if possible. I like the look of Tags, but im not sure what bend would be best. Oh and I have stock steering stem, possibly wayyy later on upgrading to an aftermarket stem. But for now, stock.

Thanks for any help on choosing some.

I don't have personal experience with Tag. I use a ATV mid-bend ProTaper SE and I've been happy with it.

I'm over 6'4". The mid bend is just a shade low for me, but would probably be just right for someone a little shorter. Again this is in the ProTaper bars. I'm not sure what similar bars would be like in Tag's lineup.

ive used tag T2's before and absolutely loved them. I think the atv low bend is what i used, but i enjoy low bars

That's the way I think of it lol. My bars were very low, but I loved them and I'm 5'9"

Right now I have Moose ATV-High bend bars and there a little too tall. They were only 20$ at my local dealer so I can't complain.

i personally like the high bars cause i mostly stood up but it was my stem that made it high i had the reed bend 7/8 and they were a very good bar and cheaper

I also like my t-2s. They are high bend with adaptors and work out great. they are bit wider total but they are good when you are jumping and stuff for a wider grip on the bars. steve

Well, I just purchased these on ebay. They are Brand new Tag X5's but it dont tell what bend they are, kinda looks like a high or maybe a med bend to me. What do you guys think??

I only paid $15.99 shipped to my door for them. So I figure it would be a good trial and error deal.

I recently got a good deal on a renthal atv mid bend that I really like. my only issue with them was haveing to move my key switch and lights, fortunatly after I moved them I actually like where I put them more than where they were.

Alright, cool.

My next question is, well im getting a new clutch lever and perch, my stock one has alot of play and since I took off the Park Brake, I really have a bunch of jumbled up stuff on there that I dont need. So my question is, im getting the bars now, should I wait to install them until I get my new clutch, or is it no big deal to put the clutch lever/perch on without taking off grips and stuff??

I just dont want to put the bars on and have to take back off the grips just to put the lever on. Im not sure when I will get the lever and perch, probably soon, but I will want to be able to ride between installing my bars and getting my new clutch
